SPEAKER_00:

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to a murders to music snapshot. So today I want to spend just a couple minutes and talk to you about something that is pretty freaking cool. It's impact. What is the impact that we have in other people's lives every single day? Whether we know it or not. When those people that we meet at the store, the people we work with, whoever it may be, we have this impact on folks around us. And it can be good or it can be bad. Sometimes we have an impact that we're not even aware of. I love the fact that this podcast impacts people where they are in those moments of need. Now, like I said a couple weeks ago, this podcast is not filled with fun, happy, go lucky, feel good stuff. This is stuff that is raw and hits people at the core. You know, there's a gentleman who has been listening to this podcast and he's caught up to all of them. And his name is Nick. And Nick lives abroad. He lives over in Europe. And specifically, Nick found this podcast when he was at one of his lowest points. He was at the point where when he emailed me, I thought for sure, when I didn't hear from him, that he had done something tragic. That is where Nick found himself. But he listened to this podcast and he found the things that were being said and the messages that were being put on my heart to put out there into the world and the messages that when I would read other people's stories, the little insights and little bits that they would have and they would put out that I would relay and read through emails or whatever it may be. He grasped onto those things and he found something he could relate with. And he has made a transition from darkness to light, which is freaking cool. He has found himself asking God, God, what is my purpose? This is a guy who I believe who's got a crazy history, like military, all kinds of crazy stuff going on. But he found himself asking God, God, what is my purpose in this life and why am I here today? And what are you trying to teach me in these moments? It's with that that he just found a kind of a new breed on life. Now, not every day is amazing. There's ups and downs, and he tells me about them when we communicate. But one thing that I want to do is the impact that I had on him or this podcast had on him hit him in a special place. Now, last week I found a package in my mailbox, and that package was three leather coasters that Nick sent me from the United Kingdom. Those three coasters are Scotch coasters, they're about a quarter inch thick, they're heavy duty, they are awesome. And now they're sitting right here on my podcast station. And that had such an impact on me. The fact that he would care so much to go out of his way to send me something to say thank you. That is an impact that is amazing. I love it. I love it. I love it. And I thank you guys all for listening. You guys are amazing. You never know the impact you're going to have. Do something today that's bright. Do something today that's fun. Hold the door open for somebody. Say something nice to your coworker. Find that person who you don't get along with and go out of your way to be extra nice. They may slam the door in your face, but you know what? At least you did the right thing, and you never know when their head is on the pillow, the lights are out, it's just them and their thoughts. They're gonna think about the impact that you had in their lives.
